Why Big D?
BORN IN DETROIT.
BUILT FOR DALLAS.
Peter Colombo grew up on the east side of Detroit — Fraser, to be exact — where square pans, brick cheese and sauce on top are just called pizza. He spent more than two years perfecting his Detroit-style dough, then brought it 1,200 miles south to East Dallas, where he's run Alfonso's Italian Restaurant for 38 years.

One more thing Detroit folks know that Dallas is about to find out: the right soda matters. That's why the fridge stays stocked with Vernor's, Faygo Redpop, Rock & Rye and Orange — all in long neck bottles — next to bags of real Better Made chips.
