The Havana Cafe Experience

Step Through the Teal Door

Warm wood, Cuban artwork, sunlight on the tables, and a kitchen that cooks the way abuela taught us. This is a neighborhood café with Havana in its heart.

03

The Bar

Mojitos, Por Favor.

By day, it’s café Cubano and Malta with lunch. As the sun drops behind Buckner, the mint comes out, the limes get muddled, and Havana Cafe eases into the evening.

Handcrafted mojitos, cold Tropical sodas, and shakes blended with mango, guava, and guanábana — sunshine in a glass, no passport required.

Our Story

Welcome to Havana

You’ll find us in the Casa Linda Shopping Center, at the corner of Buckner Blvd and Garland Rd — a little corner of Havana tucked into East Dallas. Look for the deep teal entrance; that’s us.

Havana Cafe is a family-run kitchen run by the Velez family, cooking the recipes we grew up with: bistec off the plancha, ropa vieja that simmers all morning, croquetas by the plate, and café Cubano poured short and sweet.

Regulars order at the counter and stay for hours. First-timers leave as regulars. That’s the whole idea.

Friday Nights

Live Music + Karaoke

Friday Nights • 8 PM – 12 AM

When the plates are cleared, the room wakes up. Local musicians, mojitos on the table, and a karaoke mic that has seen everything from salsa classics to bad (beautiful) Bon Jovi.
