The bar we don't lower
Anyone can claim quality. We put it in writing, verify it supplier by supplier, and refuse to stock anything that doesn't clear it. This is what every label in our store already promises.
Every fruit and vegetable we sell is USDA Certified Organic. That means no synthetic pesticides, no GMOs, and soil that's managed for the long term. It's why our produce aisle is the whole produce aisle.
Our beef, pork, and poultry come from animals raised on pasture with room to behave like animals. No antibiotics ever, no added hormones, no animal by-products in feed — verified through supplier audits, not just paperwork.
100% of our dairy and eggs come from pasture-raised herds and flocks. Animals outside on living grass produce better food — the science on omega-3s and CLA agrees.
Every supplement brand must pass five gates: ingredient identity, potency verified by testing, no harmful fillers, scientific backing for the formulation, and manufacturing transparency. Fewer than 5% of brands make the shelf.
Hydrogenated fats. Artificial colors and flavors. MSG. High-fructose corn syrup. Bleached flour. Our banned-ingredient list grows as the science grows — and it's posted publicly for anyone to read.
No conventional produce. No factory-farmed meat. No dietary supplements from anonymous suppliers. No products with ingredients we can't pronounce the research on. When better science says better standards, we raise the bar again.
Standards are a promise you can eat
Founded in 1955 by a family that believed food should be held to a higher bar — before "organic" was a word on a label. Seventy years later, we still screen every product ourselves.
That's the quiet difference between a store that sells food and a store that stands behind it.
