Aura Rae wellness brand website

Aura Rae's matcha earns the kind of loyalty that wellness brands chase. Customers describe the product in sensory, emotional terms — it's a ritual, not a supplement. The existing online presence, though, read like a generic store: the feeling that made the product special never made it to the screen.

The challenge was precise: translate a tactile, calm product experience into a website and commerce flow — without slowing down the path to purchase.

We structured the site as a quiet argument for the product. The brand story and the ritual lead; commerce is never more than one deliberate click away. Instead of fighting the wellness category's clichés with louder claims, we let restraint do the persuading.

The strategy also set the editorial voice: short, assured copy that describes the ritual rather than selling a powder. Every page has one job, and the product pages carry the full weight of conversion.

The design direction is built from the product itself: soft, natural light; generous whitespace; a palette drawn from matcha rather than from a brand guideline template. Typography is editorial — serif accents against clean sans — so the site reads like a magazine feature, not a catalog.

Motion is nearly absent by intention. Where it exists, it slows the eye instead of pulling it. The discipline shows most in the product pages: photography, ritual, ingredients, then purchase — in that order, without clutter.

The build pairs the editorial front end with a straightforward, dependable commerce layer: product pages, cart, and checkout tuned for mobile, where most wellness purchases happen. Performance was treated as part of the design — a calm site that loads slowly wouldn't be calm at all.

Content is structured so the brand can keep publishing — rituals, notes, and product stories — without ever breaking the visual system.

05 — The Result

The site feels as calm as the matcha

Customers now describe the website the way they describe the product — that was the brief, and it's the outcome. The brand finally has a digital home that matches the quality of what's in the tin.

Just as importantly, the commerce path works: the feeling earns attention, and the store converts it. Aura Rae now has a platform it can extend with new products and stories without redesigning anything.
